Mr Scraggles...
My best friend and my greatest teacher
Having grown up with dogs, in my early 20s I decided to rescue a Patterdale terrier I named Mr Scraggles. We had many adventures together, days out, long hikes, and camping holidays he was always by my side.
He really is the inspiration behind Aunty Jess Pet Guardian, pet sitting and dog walking services I now offer. After he passed away at nearly 19 years old, I didn't feel ready for another dog, however started looking after friends dogs and cats. Which I loved so I got some insurance, a DBS check and started advertising to do it professionally.
More Than Just Pet Sitting
I’m not just here to feed and walk pets – I take the time to bond with every animal, making sure they feel relaxed and happy while you’re away. I even offer Reiki healing, which helps calm anxious or older pets, easing stress and promoting well-being. I have experience caring for animals who are nervous and anxious, reading their body language and giving them the time and space they need to adjust.

That’s why I offer a free meet & greet, where we can chat about your pet’s routine, preferences, and specific care needs. This is a great opportunity to ask any questions and ensure we’re the perfect fit. After our meeting, I’ll provide a contract outlining everything we’ve discussed, along with a 50% deposit requirement to secure your booking and guarantee the dates you need.
